Aloha GV: Interesting, but I think you are perhaps the exception rather than the rule when it comes to institutional trading, particularly in the large cap stocks. I certainly don't pretend to be an expert in these matters and I do appreciate being educated. Mahalo.

Cheers

DELL -- Pers Computers -- Technology
28-Jan-00 11:31:57 Shares of Dell remain extremely active following
yesterday's record high volume of 127.6 million shares. The stock
dropped $2 13/16 in Thursday's session after pre-announcing a 4Q
earnings shortfall. In today's session, Dell has recovered $5/16 to
trade at $37 7/8 on volume of 25 million shares. Research analysts
have offered mixed reviews of Dell's pre-announcement - Critics have
warned that this is the start of less robust cycle for the stock while
defenders say the disappointment is already priced into the stock and
the current price should act as a base for a rally. Institutional
investors are likewise divided as evidenced by the strong Super
Message volume from both buyers and sellers on I-Watch. Bidders have
been particularly active at the price of $37 3/4, although a few have
bid for blocks at $38 per share. Looking at the sell messages, offers
range from $38 3/4 to $39. DELL has spent most of the day trading
bouncing between the limits outlined by the super messages, trading as
low as $37 11/16 and as high as $39 9/16 in today's session.
