sure it's possible to scalp some pizza money daytrading QQQ.
it's also possible to lose money.

i'd say it depends on how long you've been trading for real is what matters.

paper trading is a lot different than doing it for real.
are you being fair w/ your paper trades... buy at ask, sell at bid, wait for the next trade to be sure you could have gotten filled, count commissions, etc.

in the real world, your broker's order entry system goes down, your RTQ go out, your ISP is dead, your neighbor digs up the phone line, your computer crashes, etc.

lots of other things.

not to mention trading is a lot different when you have real $$ on the line. the more $$ the harder it becomes.

if you think you've got a sure thing, do lots of paper trades. then start small when you do it for real.

there's a lot of info on the daytrading threads and books galore.

I would appreciate hearing your thots on my comments and anything about your trading you'd like to share.
