I really think this is just a wonderful business opportunity for anyone who wants to own a growing content provider at a very reasonable price. At these levels I expect to see some interested parties stepping forward quickly. Does THQI have some shareholder rights plan in effect to fend off unwanted acquirers?

I think what they should do is basically keep doing what they've been doing. This will pass. We, as long term share holders, will just have to grin and bear it until it does, as we did when they announced the loss of WCW and as we did when they actually did lose the license, etc. The shorts are in control right now, but we'll get it back. With the upcoming earnings, and the management in place, it's only a matter of time.

Lots of good retorts posted on the Greenberg board at The Street.com. thestreet.com

Those are good points.

If I were THQI, I would notify the SEC so they're aware of any attempts to manipulate the stock price.

I would spend a little money to find who is taking a large short position. Maybe a possible letter notifying these individuals that they are being watched etc..

I would make a statement NOW, clarifying and accounting methods and request a retraction from TheStreet.com. I would then follow that up with public statement indicating their SEC notification and that any attempts to manipulate the stock price through false statements or blatantly false remarks in stock chat rooms may lead to prosecution.

The bottom line - THQI will not stand by why their company and shareholders get manipulated.

These can be done without spending much time or money - little distraction from the company etc..

I wouldn't buy back shares or anything dramatic.

This would be similar to THQI's recent "great year" press release.
