Lanac, all the investments Intel made in the network, broadband and wireless areas were not for the web hosting type business that Exodus is also in. Those purchases (Level 2, Dialogic, etc) picked up chip and software designs that will enable Intel to get into things like routers and switches, i.e., things that Cisco makes; and cell phones and other communications equipment.

The web hosting business uses existing servers and network equipment, and ASP and other application software to allow companies to run B2B or B2C or other web based applications.

Still, it would be nice for Intel to start making noises in the web hosting area.
