Raging Bull Post Number 110420, authored by Easymonie on December 10, 1999, certainly tells a story, doesn't it?

>>>"An Analyst's Recommendation, "stay away from this one"
Major news on e.Digital's (EDIG) front. Management has decided that they needed revenue so they have decided to sell hats and cups with their logo on it via their web site. Since our short recommendation on this stock, the price has declined from $2 and change to $1.75 and change. Stay away from this one."<<<

Of course, anyone staying away on the advice of Easymonie missed a golden opportunity to nail down the 24 mark.

Yes, these shorts manifest themselves in varying manner. What we've got right now is absolutely an orchestrated campaign. What we've seen previous to this onslaught were opportunistic prognastications of daytraders seeking fractional or better trading advantages.

I hold no doubt there exists some posters, in particular those ones connected with market makers or market maker consultants, who've dual posting identities: One for bringing the price up; one for bringing the price down; a computer on the left, a computer on the right. And lots of whiskey, beer and other things to further sour their sorry souls afterwards.

How to make the world a better place in which to live? Well, one way is not to do what they do.

I wonder why all the shorts weren't here then with all of their warnings about what a bad investment we had made? I wonder if some of them had even been longs for a bit?<ggg>

It was done out of deference to Maryinred, many of us had met her and liked her and didn't want to trade against her, but after she spurned advice from many far more market savvy people than herself and didn't sell at 10(before the stock fell to 5) and then again didn't sell into the runup to 20 it was just too much. This thing was and is so bloated it's beyond funny.
You won't be seeing Maryinred or Pluvia on SI for a few days, they both got a bucket of water thrown on em.
