Early Earnings Report?

I seem to remember a few years back that THQ issued an "unaudited" earnings report early with all the caveats about the audited report being the final report. The audited report, when released a few weeks later, was identical. What would keep THQ from doing the same thing now? It would be a factual press release and could in no way be considered hype.

Short interest numbers very logical. Shorts took advantage of historical slow month for game stocks to walk price down and push longs to take profits. Shorts have dug a serious hole and will not go quietly. However, there is a limit to how low this can go. Per IBD, this stock has a "99" ranking for its earnings per share,an "A" ranking for Sales+Profit Margins+ROE and is selling at a huge discount to it's peers. Management has to be given an A+ for the wrestling title transition. Needless to say I have been a buyer at these prices. I can't see investing in a company that makes lots of money and is growing at a great rate is out of fashion. But I guess that why some make money and others wonder why they don't!! Could we be witness to the short squeeze of the century in the coming weeks???
