"Thanks for all of the informative posts on THQ. Bottom line of my column, though, doesn't change: Reserves falling and capitalized sotware rising. Had the Acclaim numbers included factored reserves Acclaim's receives indeed would've fallen...AND IT WOULD'VE MISSED ITS NUMBERS. (It can be debated whether you should or shouldn't use factored receives. I certainly would use them when calculating days outstanding receives!) The point is that THQ sticks out like a sore thumb in its industry...and industry that is currently going through turmoil. THQites have seized on the Acclaim numbers, not the THQ issues.,,that its reserves are falling, capitalized software is rising and it's the only company in its industry saying that it'll exceed estimates. hg"
