Joan,

I believe that with Michigan and Michigan State both losing last nite, everybody in the conference but PSU has at least 3 losses. That puts Purdue in a tie for 2nd, which I'll gratefully settle for after their horrendous start.

They should (there's that word again) win their next 4 (NU twice, OSU and Ind. at home), then they play at your place and have back-to-back games with the Spartans. So we'll see. The goal is now to get a top 16 seeding so they play their first 2 games of the NCAA tournament at home.

Gary

Well, I finally get to see my team play in person tomorrow, when they come to town to play Northwestern. We're doing a father-daughter day out. The game shouldn't be a problem; Purdue beat NU by 38 last week. The hard part will be getting my daughter to cheer for the Boilers, since Northwestern is local and (more important in the mind of a 9 year old) they wear purple.
