CC brief synopsis: revenues were above expectations and the writeoff was a one time charge and there are no further risks of writeoffs {$500K-for old Airstar 1.0 ayatem inventories and old Point2Point} going forward...without the charge we met expectations of (-.16) this could have been better except for the increase in personel and marketing.

*381% increase in revenues over 1998 4th QTR

*49% increase in revenues since 1999 3rd quarter

yes now we have 40 deployments 8 are in commercial use. all 40 trials are expected to go to Full deployment and it is expected that we will add 2-3 service providers/qtr from here with each being at least 8-9 figures each..

we now have 80% of Diecasting in parts a huge cost savings going forward.

2/3 of shipments were@ 26Ghz=Europe and 1/3 10 Ghz=Latin America

28GHZ in alpha 2-3 more weeks then goes to beta.@ customer sites...

Expect Sequential growth in gross profits and margins going forward.

we are @ zero balance, this was a smart move to take the charge in the first qtr and have no writeoffs going forward...expect sales force to double to meet demand and ramp up now is 80% outsourced and will move to 100% in future.

some Key accounts in Latin America which cant be named due to disclosure.

looks like the street was waiting for the #'s but more importantly the level of revenue ramp up and whethewr or not there would be any further drag on earnings and there are NONE. expect cost savings and a
significant Jump in revenues going forward...

excluding charges we met expectations.

revenues should go from 7.7 Mil to a minimum of 20Million next qtr that is a a minimum of 259% qtr/qtr growth in revenues.

Gideon says we've proven our leadership in TDMA time and again...he would not discuss the "competition" except to say that they will try to bring to market products but, they are not on the same playing field...

All shipments were PMP products we've completely transitioned out of PTP. and Airstar 1.0 as of last QTR!

cheers

dawg,
Thanks for the CC report. If it is available on the web, I'll try and listen to it over the weekend. I have also made some money with NTRO but it was a long torturous road. I originally got in at 38 and watched NTRO sink to the low 20's. I averaged down a bit and eventually my red turned to green. I was not aware the end of the lockup was coming shortly. Do you have a date? Ultimately, I do believe in NTRO's potential and will hold some in a core position.
Regards,
Shadowed

Netro is also my largest holding. I was impressed with the conference call content.

Especially:
1) That the burn-rate was characterized as being right on target,

2) That the sales force will be doubled from the current 12 to 24 this quarter,

3) That cost reduction was getting special emphasis,

4) That they are shipping real product (not prototypes),

5) That next quarter will generate the same steady progress,

6) That respectable major companies have already chosen to manufacture their products for them,

7) That Lucent and Siemens count on NTRO for product,

8) That Lucent and Siemens account for only half (not all) of NTRO's sales, and

9) That, while there there is some local competition, there is as yet no global competition out there for NTRO.

I am also impressed that this is not just any market that NTRO is in. This is the most dynamic portion of the most explosive market on the planet for at least the next 3 - 6 years with NTRO up and running ahead of the pack and doing so on all cylinders.

What more could one ask? Good Night and Sweet Dreams!
