It's no use being paranoid about China. They may still live under a socialist type of system but the know that the future success of their country lies in it's development of it's business and commerce with the rest of the world. Foriegn traders contributed greatly to where China is today and where it's going in the future. It will grow slowly but surely with many small problems on the way (that's to be expected). One should not expect that China needs to adopt a Western politcal or business system overnight. China grows slowly and in a way more applicable to China's unique structure, culture and climate. Investors are generally smart enough to adapt to their particular way of development and growth without having to over critisize it simply because it's different.
