Quick question ...

Can a UPS introduce a 'variable capacitance' into the load to correct the power factor when loads become overly inductive? One would think this could extend the time the UPS could deliver.

I don't know if this is possible, (or practical) or even if the technology exists to do it. Just wishful thinking.
