I don't know about 'inflows to the tech funds' and all that. I do know, however, that distribution took place in JDSU today. The stock price dropped a good deal on higher volume--almost double the normal volume!. This does not look healthy to me. I am not certain, what do I know?, but it looks like there was simply not enough money flowing into JDSU to check all the folks who simply wanted to book their gains. That sniffs like distribution to me.

And what about the rest of the market? The inflows of new money are there--this is IRA (in US) and RSP season. My practice office is in a building with a bunch of folks who sell mutual funds and their offices have been swamped last and this week. Furthermore, this is 'bounus season' when all the year-end payouts to workers get invested in the market too. So with all this money flowing into the market, how come the market hasn't taken a big jump up? Hunh? Or, as we say in Canada, Eh? Yeah, a lot of money is flowing in. But, as the numbers show more is flowing out. Now, that I don't like if I'm long. Again, it sniffs like distribution.

Ciao,
