Charles - Consider the release today an "add-on" to this earlier one ... PCTL on its way ... stay long:

PICTURETEL AND INTEL EXTEND MARKETING AGREEMENT TO INCLUDE THE
INTEL(R) PROSHARE(R) VIDEO SYSTEM 500
Effective September 27, 1999, PictureTel Corporation will have
exclusive worldwide distribution rights to sell and support the
Intel(r) ProShare(r) Video System 500. This extends the current
agreement, announced on January 19, 1999, in which PictureTel
gained exclusive worldwide distribution rights to sell and support
the Intel(r) TeamStation(tm) System. Intel and PictureTel also
agreed in January to develop a common PC-based platform for a next
generation of business-quality video conferencing systems.

Under the agreement extension, resellers and customers will
continue to buy the Intel ProShare Video System 500 through normal
distribution channels. The distribution channels simply source
the product from PictureTel (PictureTel SKU: PS500) rather than
Intel. The Intel ProShare Video System 500 will remain the same
in terms of functionality and will continue to be manufactured by
Intel.

For more detailed information please contact PictureTel at
(978) 292-5000 or visit their Web site at:

picturetel.com

This marketing agreement will make it is easier and more cost
effective for customers and channel members to source a complete
video conferencing solution from PictureTel, the industry leader
in visual collaboration.

products for business, visit our web site at:

Mark,

Here's a suggestion that works well for me:
(1) Keep a "core" investment position and scale in gradually
(2) If you like, daytrade or short term trade the stock in addition to your investment

We had a nice gap up on the open, but a quite strange finish today. I'd ignore all the day-to-day stuff Mark - its just not worth daytrading/short term trading this stock.

For example, I gave back 1/8-1/4 of a point today tryiing to daytrade it... not too smart considering I hold a low enough position to not have to look at it daily at all!Admittingly, today was a VERY difficult day to trade given the market weakness and PictureTel's intraday pattern.

Best to stay the course and ignore all the daily ups and downs.
