WIND One good year could saturate the market.

As I see it, that would BE the tornado from my perspective. Remember their business model--they sell their software to you to allow you to develop products which use their software, which means that you will pay them a royalty for each and every one of your products that you ship. If they could corner the market in one year, that would be terrific. Once a department/product/company moves from an in house system to a commercial system, I just don't see them going back to in house. GG theory says if the initial switch is to the Tornado development environment, in most instances the Tornado development environment will continue to be used until a new discontinuous innovation comes along.
IMO, they will make far more from royalties than for development seats.

Edit: I wrote the above before I saw your edit. Since you are in the business, could you comment on my conclusion that VxWorks is almost a standard already?
