Investors miss the CMRC boat

Clueless investors might want to take a look at the big picture.

....Bob Austrian, an analyst at Banc of America, stated that the modest earnings-per-share miss was not a concern, and that the near-term weakness should be viewed as a buying opportunity.

After all, revenues increased from $1 million during fourth quarter 1998 to $16.9 million this quarter. Bala Srinivasa, a Pacific Growth Equities' analyst pointed out, "The focus with Commerce One will always be on the top-line growth numbers and their business continues to accelerate. They blew away the top line."

As if positive analyst comments, snowballing revenues, and a Banc of America upgrade weren't enough, another high-profile company entered the picture. Pharmaceutical giant, Eli Lilly and Company (LLY: news, msgs), chose Commerce One Solution as their gateway into the business-to-business e-commerce world.

And the impressive client list keeps growing. Still not convinced?

It appeared that, perhaps, investors were coming to their senses as Commerce One showed some strength at the opening bell on Thursday, but as the broad market began to slide, so did CMRC.

What's it gonna take for Commerce One to get back in the Street's good graces?

Agreed, I want more of CMRC but trying to get the best price.

Stock doing well so far today. Low volume pullback generally means a fast snap back.
