CNBC reporting CS 1st Boston is recommending buy CPQ on open. (They must figure something interesting is going to happen later in the day.)

yes - and I have renewed respect for Niles, I don't think he had a mole in DELL since his analysis seemed based on IDC and trends and he was, like the rest of us, high, just not AS high. The name of the game for CPQ in 2000 is solidify the business, get the cost structure under control, and execute on the business model transition. They look to be in good shape to do that and will come out with a strong model by the end of the year.
