Seems like sentiment toward DELL is really turning. If the thread reflects the feelings of most shareholders, could a class action law suit be next for them? The stock has been a real winner, but folks aren't happy with the back-to-back warnings, the timing of the warnings, the sale of MD's shares, etc. Is there grounds for a suit??? In my book, no, but who knows??? El

Employment data key for Wall St open, techs bounce

LONDON, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Compaq Computer Corp <CPQ.N> and
Dell Computer Corp <DELL.O> led a rebound for U.S. technology
stocks on London on Friday but the market's attention was fixed
on the key jobs data due at 1330 GMT, dealers said.
They said the employment cost figure would be the most
closely watched as it may give clear signals to the inflationary
pressures from the labour market, and subsequently supply
important clues to the next move in interest rates.
"The non-technology end of the market has been a little
lethargic in recent days as many people are looking for more
guidance on interest rates," a London dealer said.
"Everybody knows they are likely to go up next month, they
just want to know whether it is going to be by 25 basis points
or 50."
