PartyTime, of course he will react negatively to any positive item, no matter how tenuous. The typical short does little or no due diligence on the stocks they sell short. They operate almost exclusively on momentum signals and assume (usually correctly) that upward movements will see a correction. The difference between a professional investor who shorts and the scum that have invaded this thread in the past week is that the latter feel some need to insult investors who, as J.N.N. points out, have no interest in day-to-day price fluctuations. They spread completely unsubstantiated allegations that the stock is a "scam" or that the company is facing financial difficulties in an effort to dislodge those long-term investors from their positions in order to free up stock which they will use to cover their short position.

They certainly do not believe their own negative hype or they would not cover at prices above $10, which the company has achieved only in the past week. The must cover, because their own lack of fundamental research leaves them subject to huge, unlimited losses if the company begins to move upward based upon undiscovered (by them) investment merits.

Many people fear what they do not understand. And based upon the level of intelligence demonstrated by the low-life shorting crew at work on this stock during the past week it would be safe to assume that they live their sad lives in a state of constant terror.
