QCOM - a glimpse at some future plans

The magazine InterActive Week had an article on QCOM in the 1/24/00 issue. A sidebar reported a very brief interview with Dr. Irwin Jacobs. I thought this response was quite interesting:

Q. How will you sustain growth?

A. We're looking at digital cinema,
the replacement of cellular film,
and new features in phones,
computing power and the radio capability for home networking.
We'll keep adding capabilities to chips and software to increase the average selling price and features.
