If you use the Internet a lot for your investing, IMHO you should have at least two online brokerage accounts because anyone can go down anytime.

I moved one account to ETrade from National Discount Brokers just for the United miles (free trip). I would probably move it to Waterhouse but I am waiting for another Flier special to pop up anytime<g>

I agree that ETrade's website provides more info...so it may suit traders much more than Waterhouse's web site. But for investors like me who only make no more than 10 trades a year Waterhouse provides me the best value. Plus their branch is a mile from my home<g> Try to resolve something with ETrade face to face<g>

Just read in todays WSJ Toyota will offer online brokerage services....What's next, Ben and Jerry will give you a ton of free ice cream to open an account with them?
