I'd be pretty relaxed here. In general, I couldn't believe how bullish everyone was even 1 week ago. I have never seen anything like it. Folks who should have known better were suggesting that values don't matter anymore. Too funny! At times like these everyone forgets these are parts of businesses and there are indeed prices that are too high to pay even for a great business.

The only thing that has really made valuing these situations tougher is the use of puffed up equity to buy other swollen equity. Obviously, NO ONE could pay cash for some of these companies at current market prices. Still, since the use of stock has made this a tough game to judge, why do it? Just wait for certain equity prices to make sense. They are starting to, again.

It was only late November when using standard techniques to value growth issues still worked. Somehow, explosions in Q and yhoo, and jdsu and fmkt and vert etc, twisted some smart folks logic.

Unfortunately for us long term holders, when the pendulum swings one way, it tends to go as far the other way. This gives us a chance to get much too low, which will be very unpleasant, but a tremendous opportunity for folks who manage there portfolio well.

This is very very tough but we've got support at 110 and then 87.

Hmmmmmm. Now correct me if I'm wrong here but shouldn't that be phrased "This is very very tough but IMHO we've got support at 110 and then 87."?

I'M BAAAACCCCKKKK!!!! Out the door in a moment to do some field work so you guys (and Poets) will have to do without me for a bit. Sorry.

Just picked up some 2001 LEAPs when Q was around $113. I have been exercising my DIM LEAPs to provide more margin...which I am beginning to use...first time in a very long time.

About that support at 110? Not that you wanted to see me again Poet, but seems to me it is pretty weak. Much stronger at $100, no? I'll pick up my next load there.

So it appears as if a lot of people have left here. Ya'll know what that means? They sold out. I was nervous when all these new people showed up at the end of December, but now I feel much more relaxed. Seems the ribbon clerks are gone.
Now if I can just chase off that Edward guy...meow!

Have fun folks.
Remember the long term perspective.
Don't panic.
Hang Ten...
