Don't mean to get anyone's hopes up, but I copied this blurb from a CBS Marketwatch article out just a little while ago. Russ

"Compaq (CPQ: news, msgs) shares rose 7/8 to 28 7/8 while its analyst meeting took place in Houston.

Credit Suisse First Boston analyst Michael Kwatinetz said in a research note that he expected the meeting to be positive and added that he wouldn't be surprised if analysts upgraded the stock soon after the gathering.

Kwatinetz believes Compaq will shed some light on its growth drivers in 2000, including storage, Microsoft Windows 2000 and services. The PC maker reported its fourth-quarter results earlier this week. See full story.

During the conference call on Tuesday, Chief Executive Officer Michael Capellas said he anticipates Windows 2000 "to be a significant driver of growth in our client, server, and services businesses."
