MB, the Fed is clearly becoming worried about the growth of margin debt.

Whether they will be able to tame it in their own way is of course somewhat debatable. The market may do it for them before they have a concerted plan in place.

Which . . . may be what they have in mind.

what is the official definition of an inverted yield curve?

My understanding was that it is when
1 yr yield >= 2 yr yield >= ... >= 30 yr yield.

Or does the 1yr yield not need to be greater than the 2 yr?
