You may be right about ORCL's CRM work -- I don't know. ORCL does seem to have an advantage, though, which is that they own the database (which is more than a database now), so they can program for that one platform. This won't help a bit with the CRM-expertise problem, but it can be a big help with the scalability/reliability/performance aspect. How big an advantage this might be, I don't know.
