Bryan, my read messages are still not changing colors even if I click on them One at a time. Is this being looked in to???

It adds allot of extra time searching threads just to see where you last left off.

TIA

:-)

Bryan,

At the bottom of this page on Classic SI, there is a link to archived/inactive threads.
techstocks.com

There is no such link that I am able to find on this page in the New SI.
siliconinvestor.com

Additionally, some forums, such as The Coffee Shop, have links to other websites, labeled "Hot Links."
techstocks.com

These hot links seem to be missing from the new SI.

Re Full Text Search of Archives:

Bryan,
Does SI have any plans to someday allow us to do a full text search of the archives
(say going back a year or more)? Right now full text searches only go back 3 months.

SI has tons of great information posted on a wide variety of topics. I find the search
extremely useful .. but not nearly as useful as it could be due to the the 3 month limitation.
Right now I am trying to decide whether to go with DSL or Cable Modem for my home.
A search on DSL + Cable returned a lot of useful information .. but I am sure there
is a ton more in older posts. Thank you for your time and consideration.

John

Bryan, wish I could have given you my impressions of the broadcast. Sorry, to say I missed it. Something "Urgent and important" came up at work!

Another "think tank" suggestion...

When you peopleMark a person because you think that individual gives you valuable information in a particular area. It would be nice if you could add a comment next to their name. For Example, If I people marked you, and some day in the future you changed your profile and removed the fact that you are Director of SI. I might add "Managing Director of SI". For others I might say, "Really knows the Networking sector".

In this way, when a particularly though question comes up regarding a technology related to a stock, I could scan down my PeopleMarks, find the person I believe is most qualified to answer and drop them a note.
