SEVU: Large Military Contract in the Offing: SecureView Update Announced...

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- SeaView Video Technology Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SEVU - news) today confirmed that ''the light bulb camera,'' SecureView(TM), is in prototype-manufacturing stage--in simple terms, small quantities are now being assembled for field testing and ''show and tell.'' According to Rich McBride, CEO, ''We're at our third level of circuit reduction, and have developed a method to sandwich all the components together. That makes for a simpler assembly.''

The company has a huge waiting list of customers, and is moving forward rapidly. ''We make modifications daily,'' says McBride, ''and we're developing the accessory products right along behind.''

McBride addressed the two key questions: When will major retail chains start buying, and when will SecureView appear in stores? ''Keep in mind, our first marketing step is TV direct and print targeting the consumer -- this is my background,'' he said. ''After selling 2 million dollars' worth of underwater cameras -- over the phone -- the product is now going to retail. And we expect to sell over 20-thousand underwater systems this year. SecureView will follow a much shorter route.''

''Once the consumer starts seeing and buying SecureView on TV,'' he continued, ''others will be asking for it at their local retailers. Managers will reflect this back to their wholesale buyers, and trust me -- the phones will ring at SeaView!''

The company expects to announce a major government contract shortly. Working on the military security application, the R&D team has built a digital system with image-sensing motion detection which can activate cameras, trigger a recording system, or issue a warning signal. ''It will be digital, each camera with its own IP address for monitoring via the Internet or WAN,'' McBride said. ''The government system will allow simple installation, and connect easily into existing systems which lack video.''

Savings in installation costs alone are estimated in the millions, with installing times measured in hours rather than weeks. ''This work has been ongoing in conjunction with our consumer R&D,'' said McBride. ''We'll be making commercial variants available to specific sectors, such as banking, this summer.''

BULLISH SEVU NEWS: SeaView Coverage in Wall Street Reporter, Newsweek

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- SeaView Video Technology
Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SEVU) today confirmed that Wall Street Reporter will
feature the company, and an interview with CEO Rich McBride, in a page-one
story March 1. Additionally, the publication's website
(www.wallstreetreporter.com) will stream the SecureView "rough cut" video for
web viewers as early as Monday, February 21.
"The Japanese edition of Newsweek will publish an article on SecureView,"
according to Jennifer Lawson, Marketing Consultant. "We were recently
featured in a Detroit paper, and in the Jerusalem Post. We're getting calls
every day from publications, radio stations, and TV. This is just the
beginning of the exposure, and the innovative nature of the SecureView product
is bringing the media to us."
The company recently received results from a market-research study,
purposed to the evaluation of SecureView's sales potential. Freedonia Market
Research Group reported sales of wired security-monitoring systems up
75 percent in the last five years, with dollar volumes rising from
$910 million in 1997, into the billions during the new millennium's first
decade. Video surveillance systems were number one on the list of products
purchased.
Median system prices in 1999 were in the $45,000 range, according to
Security magazine. The publication forecast the largest growth surge in the
next two years. Sectors cited for greatest growth include retail stores,
banks/ATMs, schools, property management, medical, day care, public
safety/traffic control, and law enforcement.
"The traffic control segment is huge," said Jennifer Lawson. "In fact,
the city of Clearwater [Florida] has asked for a meeting. With an increase in
output power and some dedicated phone lines, traffic monitoring would be
simple."
CEO McBride underscored the importance of SecureView to these markets.
"With the comparative simplicity of installation as opposed to conventional
wired systems, SecureView could dramatically change industry numbers. In the
balance of this year, we should see several hundred thousand units, with over
a million in 2001. We expect consumers to try it, then upgrade to multiple
cameras and decoders once they've evaluated the performance."
National Sales Manager Larry Hoffman added: "We're in touch now with all
the major retail chains, and they all want the new GE PAR-38 design for
evaluation. The sales numbers from our TV rollout will paint the picture."
A large number of homes now utilize alarm systems wired into outside
monitoring facilities, McBride said. "The new digital system is being
presented to two large home-security companies. It's simple to add video to
these types of systems. We've been approached by a major child-care center
operator. In that scenario, parents could dial-up a camera to check on their
child. Nursing homes will be next. And you'll even be able to monitor your
babysitter."
McBride reiterated the key points: "No wiring, simple installation,
quality picture, Internet capability, distance. Add in the $299 price point,
and it just doesn't get any better."
