Yes, 4 for 1.

The adjustment in par value is nothing more than a convenience thing. UTX adjusted their par value a few yrs ago. At one point (before the '29 market crash, I think) par value was an important investment parameter as it was tied into the underlying capital assests of the stock. While not meaningless, it doesn't really effect the value of the stock.
OT: At least that is my recollection. I had emailed SmartMoney mag. and asked about par value when the UTX thing happened. I had my question published. My 15 min. of fame!
