Dennis first off let me thank you for correctly bringing to my attention the Q/Q figures, they seem to somewhat support both of our views. I.E. my concern for the old way/business and your future enthusiasm of which I also share.

The major point I was trying to relay (and I am sorry I did not get that across so well) is that; Dale Fuller seems to have been brought here for his internet (WEBVOLUTION) background, which to me is great. Now we all know how the market has been treating internet stocks. But IMO the write-downs (albeit one offs) have taken allot if not all that effect away from INPR. And without any explanation or breakdown from management speculations run wild i.e. their property cost etc. No one wants to put money into a 100% absolute loss or cost. It doesn't seem to be a tremendous thing to get rid of that cost why are they not doing anything or saying anything about it??

Good products are one thing but perception of a company's future especially with today's market mentality is what it's all about. Is it SUNW who has the commercial "We're the DOT in .COM"? Why can't Inprise be the COM in .COM? or the organization in .ORG etc etc etc. What are they talking about in those board meetings anyway? That's all I am saying here. Nothing is wrong with good products but be more aggressive about getting them on top and into today's investing minds. Todays's companies (with all that baby boomer's money coming into the markets) put out their best public relations bringing their stock's valuations up 150% and then let it settle down 50% That's part of being an internet company like it or not! Especially if management has knowledge and belief that their products can and will be an integral part of this tremendously vast future opportunity.

Isn't that what all the Linux hype and dynamics are about? If as you say; " The great part about the Linux tools is that it is a scalable business model for Inprise/Borland." then why can't Inprise go ahead with an aggressive ad campaign with some of that $200mill? I bet that will capature more investor and analysts interests and attention.

The biggest albatross is those expensive empty buildings. They need to make that their top priority and they need to let it be know as soon as possible that they are doing so. Even if they have to donate them to charity for tax benefits it would help the markets look at what you are looking at; Inprise's future prospects.

Once again thanks and please realize I do believe in Inprise's future. It happens to be the only stock I had recommended to my relatives when it was below $3. I just feel strongly about the market's perspective and the need for management to do something now to change it. All the other good things will be amplified tremendously.

Dennis, thanks for posting those numbers. I didn't catch them during the CC call yesterday. Enterprise growth of 30% and services growth of 20% will soon get the attention of Wall Street.

The enterprise and services segments rock! That is why I am in this stock. Services is low margin, but is absolutely key for borland to be a major player in the enterprise market.

If you go and look at the hiring page for borland, I think it will substantiate the services orientation of the "new" Borland.

We're going to make some money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regards,

bp
