David no! Not February calls....much to chancy...can you get out and roll out to April to give yourself more time?

Given your post, I would recommend a breather. Consider #4 of the following:

A key to developing a successful trading strategy is to carefully (and fully) analyze every trade ... and yes, you learn more from the "bad" ones than from the "good" ones.

Personally, I don't believe I can beat the option professionals at their game (managing risk). I've neither the knowledge, the equipment nor the temperament. However upon occasion the market will provide "gifts". If the underlying is at an "odd" price, one that after careful analysis defies logic, then an "opportunity" may be present. This sort of play is "outside the purview" of the option professional(op) who is not doing an exhaustive analysis of the underlying. Rather the op depends primarily upon current price and historical volatility.

You might ask yourself whether you believe QCOM will be at this price one year from now. Depending on your answer some possible trades may come to mind.
