Just a trading note at 3:15pmEST:

SPoos go off their first two limit
"speed bumps" of -35 and -70 after
3:30pmEST. Thus the current low for
today at 1374.80, established earlier today
after a 35 point drop, would not "limit
sellers".

so, you're right that a weaker dollar can also go hand
in hand with a stronger market... it all depends on the economic posture and business cycle at the time.....


It very often comes down to perception, or market psychology
as to whether the press, investors and traders focus on the glass being half empty or half full.

That's what's fun about macroeconomics, things can often be argued either way. -ng-
