Just as an AU CONTRAIRE to your stated opinion, in today's BARRONS, Laszlo Birinyi (the well-known, well-regarded market prognosticator) states that (I'm paraphrasing here because I don't have the issue with me) these interest rate concerns will become factored into the market psychology and the mind-set of over-reaction we're experiencing will blow over. In fact, (for those market timers out there) he cites the statistic that on ALL of the days that the Fed raised the rate in 1999 the market actually went UP! (The sigh-of-relief factor?) L.B.'s Dow prediction for the end of this year? 14,000!
