Even apart from today's market action, Kevin, I'd still be awfully careful about shorting this particular stock. If what the bulls are saying about the product and techonology is true, then being short is gonna get real expensive, real fast. And you might ask Mr. Wexler the factual basis for his claims that the managment of the company is engaged in a criminal conspiracy to defraud the investing public, and that the stock will trade at zero. Numerous people have asked him numerous times for his proof, and his response has been more assertions that he's right. And while you're at it, you might ask him how much he's lost being short this particular stock over the past 3 months.

<<Still, even at 35 VLNC was far from my most unprofitable position today. You win some, you lose some.>>

How about for the week, with Valence up ~40% in that timeframe?

If one was short at $17 1/2, then covered and went long at $22 1/2, one would be much better off than one is today, eh?

Good luck with your investments!
