That supports my general thinking of the scenario I posted to Dorothy a while back. My thinking was that the market would sell the news all of the first part of earnings season in order to lock in profits and the market would rally after the Fed rate hike was out of the way given that the interest rate environment would be stable for a while and that earnings were actually better on average for most companies than estimated. There was no specific timing for this scenario to play out in, but the next few day may be the climax to the selling.
