Days like today is when us new investors learn some leasons.
I had the good sense to sell some positions early this morning.
I unloaded over half of my NTRO for which I had a very nice profit on and unloaded a couple of my "speculative" plays.
My long stocks are ADI,TXN,INPH (of course INPH is still very risky but I like it so I held it)Lu, and INTC.
As you can see I lost some today but I figured that my reasons for buying these stocks have not changed so I hold them.
Now, this is funny. I never ever ever ever short.
Why?
Because I am terrible at it. I almost always lose when I go short. I think my % to date is about a 95% batting average for losing on my short positions;-) Not good if you do this for a living.
My point...my one and only short that I have in my account is NSM. To funny I think it was the only stock on the market today that was up. Gawd I am a terrible shorter.

Note: I took a gamble and bought some QCOM options near the close when the stock price was 110 1/4. A small position but will be fun to watch.

Days like today hurt but they sure do make the good days you have a lot better.
