That's why I recommended shorting AMZN a while ago...on AGs thread (amongst some others). It's toast. It is not really an internet company but faces the same problems walmart, egghead or compUsa has....therefore the valuation is a joke and I won't be surprised when it trades at $5 one day. But first, it has to take out $60...

Off topic: Europe is a banana republic in internet shopping terms. I look around and try to buy a psion revo (the trendy tiny handheld companion which allows for web browsing via IrDA and a cellular phone...) Alone, I failed to do so. Most US shopper networks abandoned international orders, mostly for security reasons. In Europe, especially Germany the Revo is not offered on several shopping storefronts...yahoo shopping doesn't turn up a "revo". Also, the stores are fragmented and there is no general "yellow pages" dictionary. For an entrepreneur with a bag of dollars and a small team, it must be possible to set up an integrated B2C solution,..which in turn could be worth millions... But I'm baffled how far behind they are...I entered some online stores leaving them disgusted...some don't even work and show no products... some only sell to companies, not private persons. "Buying meat in Moscow?" And then... the price..... I found the tool in UK at psion. It goes around L265, which is 18% ahead of the common price in US ($369), and 10% ahead of the US listed price ($399) In Germany it is priced DM 899 (Psion price recommendation, they do no direct shopping, a dealer must be found), which is 24% ahead of the common US price. And note that the USD has risen very much...even then, it is much cheaper in the States. ..... Psion suxx: I will abandndon the psion idea and resort to the Palm V...
