HP 700 Box at Costco:

Below is a message from my friend in Reno, NV:

Costco has a very high-end, HP unit now with a 700 MHz Athlon for
$3000!!! This is a class system with 128M, 40G, a 56K modem and
an Ethernet card, an 8X CDROM, a CD-ReWriter, and a 15" FPD. This
is one of the highest price computer SKU's that I can ever remember
seeing here.

I noticed after New Years that Costco had sold out of high-end (750-MHz)
Compaq systems and now only carried $1600 550-MHz Compaq boxes as the
highest SKU in the store. I'd wondered if they were going to cap their
SKU's at that price for a while.</>

Ted, <Both Via and AMD know what its like to be on the bottom and they also know that to get off the bottom requires constant diligence and effort. Its why little guys beat out the fat cats in an upset victory.>

So Intel is a "fat cat" who doesn't know the value of constant diligence and effort?

No need to answer. I'm just being argumentative with you.
