(NASDAQ:CMVT - news), has selected Natural MicroSystems' Fusion(TM) 3.0 technology as the basis for its IntelliGate(TM) platform.
Connected IntelliGate platforms form star*home's IP-based global ``network of mobile networks' to allow wireless carriers worldwide who offer to their roaming, wireless customers a wide range of services. Now for the first time, using star*home's network, wireless carriers are able to offer their roaming subscribers easy access to the same enhanced voice and data services as when they are in their home network, by using familiar home short codes, user interfaces and numbers, thus opening the door to tremendous new revenue-generating opportunities for carriers across the globe.
Natural MicroSystems' Fusion 3.0 forms the foundation that enables the delivery of a variety of new IP-based enhanced services, including automatic call answering, interactive voice response, virtual phone/fax, one-touch call return, personal number service, call screening/caller introduction and wireless information and content services. Because the IntelliGate platforms connect together via IP-based interfaces, subscriber services can be accessed from any location (not just in the user's home service area), and can be conveniently billed to the user's home account.
