UPS design considerations ...

Like all those who are not engineers, things seem possible, practical, easy, and cost-effective. Only those who work with this stuff, know the details, and are familiar with the current technology and where the frontiers are located can see that my suggestions are unworkable, impractical, and unaffordable. I feel like Dilbert's boss.

Anyway, thanks for pointing out why UPS designers estimate load characteristics and create their products to perform well in most applications. At least your answer makes sense.

I'd best stick to those things I understand: Annoying people.

Cheers, PW.
