gst did you sell some gold calls or did they just <ng> decline in value ?
i like amd too, but at the right price, ho ho...

from gold-eagle:
Gold equities are exceptionally cheap at the moment. According to the respected research team at Scotia Bank, they currently trade at a discount of 18% to net present value, an unprecedented low valuation, even before the September 1999 rally. Because of the lengthy gold bear market, exacerbated by hedging and short selling, shares of gold mining companies, not surprisingly, have ranked among the worst performers over the last twenty years. The global market capitalization of the industry is less than $50 billion. The market cap of one high tech company, Qualcomm, has gained and then lost this amount in the last six weeks. Industry earnings are all but non-existent apart================Don L.-this snippet from Hathaway agrees with what I stated in an earlier post-NOW is the time to buy-gold is the ultimate contrary call-patience!-you will be hansomely rewarded.

>the whole market looks like a novice skier who just wandered on to a double-black diamond run. Do you know first aid?
I'd say after 8 years and 10 months we have entered a period where the shorts/puts can rejoice or try to get even.
The question is how many bet against the tidal wave types are left? Other than hedge funds?
Ps
Back betting against the Nasd. Now, does that take balls or what? How do you spell idiot?
