Aurum:

That is an interesting take on the long term supply of pgms. And Inco's Voisey's Bay, even if it goes ahead, apparently will not yield much in the way of pgm by-products.

The Noril'sk rumours continue, with FN executives and others repeating them in the last few months. Anthony Naldrett once studied there and I'm sure other westerners have also consulted. Are you aware of any published papers, analyst evaluations or other reports available that somehow quantifies the Noril'sk situation?

My take on the games that Russia plays with the pgm export chain is that it comprises indirect evidence for Noril'sk depletion. These games only makes sense if they are running out of palladium and wish to maximize price to gain the most out of current sales which are depleting a finite stockpile that will not be easily replenished.
