Oooh. That's no good. Eeek. Let's try Kealakekua, my other spot: Hi 75; Lo 74.

swbell.snap.com

I thought Tucson would be warmer. We were there in Saguaro Ntl Monument over Cmas a couple years ago, I think, and I seem to remember it in the 70's. MJ drove the route around the park, the very fine saguaro drive, with plenty-o-stops, and I sat out the window (per usual) on the window sill, en plein air, like a doggy, holding the rack, and got a sunburn on my head.

I know where Willcox is, been there several times. Almost bought land near Rodeo, just on the AZ-NM border there? We usually circuit from Phoenix east thru Superior to Globe and down to Bisbee and Tombstone and all. Or else up to the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. (That is some WAY cool stuff.)

I really, really, really, kind of, like Arizona.

It was I think 40 High and 20 Low here, on that site. I guessed 19. I guessed that because I know Oregon better than Tucson, and can tell from the shapes of the rhody leaves. They turn from flattish spears into rolled up tubes, like green cigarette papers. The tighter the roll, the colder. (Warmth preservation adaptation.)

Much suckier than 64, 19 is, and genuinely lamentable compared to 75 at Captain Cook.
