Amen Dealer. The last five years is not indicative of all the Market can do. Reading what some long-time investors write has helped me weather the volatility. The downside has seemed nightmarish at times. But the "old-timers" helped keep me steady.

Big upswings have their own frustration...I held Dell while the internuts went crazy. A fellow on the Dell thread; edamo, maybe you know him; gave a valuable piece of advice. "Don't worry about catching every wave. There's always another coming in." I still have my trading capital and then some. I'm damned thankful for that.

Yeah...it'd be nice to swoop in an catch the Q when it's down like this. You could make a killing. But if you think longer-term and don't panic, success will come. I'd like to quit work as soon as possible...I have to conform to the possible, though, or I'm not operating in reality.
I've been damned lucky to get this far. The past couple weeks have been a setback to be sure but the game is a long way from over...for me and for the market.

BTW...I remember reading a thank you note from you to the QCOM crew and (I believe) Voltaire specifically around the end of the year. Well done. I was in an internet "hut" on a beach in Thailand and that was a class acknowledgement. It made me proud to be an SI user.

Good move on the calls. I suspect you'll be very happy not too far in the future.
