Another stock and cash. Caer by ssft with 4 cash and 7.75 stock and collar 1.72222/.91176 shares. Like the merits of the combo but dont know whether their dominance in scanner niche is threat in HSR review. Anyone familiar with this niche? One to watch is aco, amcol. DOJ request for review spooked the stock. Should get 14-14.5 and remainder of company. Have my fingers crossed on aatt, bond market uncertainty is culprit on 24.5 Friday price. Still believe ctz is excellent risk to reward deal.

Here's perhaps another for the "potential play" category. KeySpan is trying to sell Houston Exploration (THX; closed $17 7/8),which is a company Houston Exploration controls, for between $24-27. No deal (yet), but an interesting large spread in current to potential price (even considering that any deal might be tied up with regulatory approval). Here's a link: biz.yahoo.com Paul S.
