COMS will certainly track PALM until the distribution date of PALM shares to some extent. The question is if this is a close-to-100% extent or an 80% or 90% extent. This will also depend on the perceived value of the remaining portion of COMS.

K -- I play a lot of arbs. I esp like the ones like VSIO and TBFC that had a huge discount to the larger company. Nearly all arbs run only 5% - 8% under valuation. Since PALM is an IPO there it has no valuation until day 1. At that time coms will have a discount higher than the norm as they still are not required to distribute to shareholders and Eric is involved. We will see a nice run and I expect to see over 50 and climbing until after the ipo... normally these things have their 1st pullback 45 - 55 days after ipo and rise again,, Day 1 it is probable palm will run and drag coms up with it but there is also no valuation on coms alone,, since prior to PALM it was 20 - 23 that would be the valuation perceived IMO although I feel 12 - 15 is more reasonable... PALM is "THE" hot IPO of the qtr so should do well in its first few days,, hopefully so as that may be the end of it for me,, I see little reason to hold as no one will want COMS alone and it will sink like a rock then 80% will be available for sale (again IF coms does as they indicate) and many will bail their new found wealth,, at which time anyone wanting palm only may get a bargain,,, just my ramblings but I see more competition on the horizon and Eric doing his normal thing,,,,
