Zortman Landusky - Guess I did not explain very well: They would go to an area and assay the area in blocks and squares ( down to .01 oz per ton) i.e. think of a chess board where the black squares contain ore and the red do not. It was sort of like that - they would test an area and so knew where the ore was, then they would blast in such a way as to have the ore go in one way and the rock in another. Made it easy to pick up and put the ore on the leach pad and carry away the rock. they also would blast just the right way to get the rock so it did not need to be crushed, just put on the leach pad. They were very brillant and made Pegasus a lot of mmoney where others failed. PS I don't even know these people just the story. No taro cards involved, to the best of my knowledge, just brains <g>.
