It's just the nature of this market--so much is made on momentum both up and down. So now the momentum is downward and analysts are using an acknowledgment of seasonal variation to create fear. Institutions get QCOM cheap that way, and maybe they make a lot of money on options (buy puts, sell short) as well. It will recover but maybe not fora while.

I was in CMGI awhile back and the same thing happened. It went up to 300 and back down into the 80s. It just got totaly overextended and then the earnings report was not pleasing, who knows why. And eventually it made a nice recovery.

I think hedging, covered calls, buying puts if you do that, is the strategy while waiting for recovery.
