bearshark: There are a lot of TA techniques and methods out there. Some folks get more out of some than others, it is just that simple. The bottom line folks should use what works for them...we agree!

P&F is not the only tool that does not use volume. I can think of one of many widely used techniques right off the top...MACD for one! P&F is price based, but the primary feature that sets it apart "I think" is that time is really not part of the equation and should not be confused with the sampling rate!

No matter what techniques and or system one chooses to use, it takes time to gain experience with all of them.

Good trading...

LG

If anyone has an image chart of the INDU from 9/70 to 1/73, could they post it. The similarity in structure to the current pattern is fairly striking as I pointed out a few nights ago. Here is the current chart.

Compare the current chart from about 8/97 or 9/97 to 1/00 to the one from 1970 - 1973. You can see the dual three hump and a house of cards patter. Er? Or is that three peaks and a domed house?
