Personally, i think it would not be a good idea to write covered calls against your leaps either. the call premium has been shaved sooo much it isn't reality (unless there are those who know that th Q will not rebound). There are threats to the Q. This WDcMA thing i just read about a few posts back. so, we are all nervous with nothing really to do but ride this out and take Kava Kava.

Cagey-

You said:
"...what exactly has changed about the Q since then ?"

Little or nothing to the company. The perception of the invincibility of the STOCK has, however taken a beating. That can take a while to heal.

You also said:
"I just find it interesting how euphoria can switch to panic in such a short time..."

Some people bought well over the current price. That hurts. Also...be realistic, people start dreaming of ways their new-found wealth will change their lives. Personally, when the market (the Q specifically) goes up, I'm full of confidence and good humor. During periods like the past two weeks I can't even ask a woman out on a date. I feel like a loser.

Psychology...psychology...psychology......the better a person can play that psychology, the more successful they'll be in the market.

Like you, I'm trying to ride this out because I believe that fundamentals will ultimately prevail.

Hi KG4,

This is where I become fascinated by the actions of the masses. First of all, there is absolutely no crisis here. The sad part from where I sit is that the average investor now will begin thinking in terms of PUTs etc. when they should turn their attention to calls. This is where the money for the next year will be made. There is a fortune in two parts here and I will jump all over them probably beginning Monday. The July 160's are as inviting as the Jan. 200's back in November as far as I am concerned and then having made that fortune attention should then be made to roll out to the 2001's Jan's. there is a lot of money to be made here if people stay on their toes and apply lessons learned here.

PEOPLE MUST MAKE A MOVE IN HERE.

Studying calls as I write, and a very good day on the tundra for pondering.
