I've missed many bottoms cause I've thought the stocks had more downside...or would be stuck for some time. I've silently thought those buying at that time were gonna be in for some bad news. And I've wanted to be safe. That "safety net" has usually cost me 20 to 30 points.

If I understand you correctly, ie, that selling 140 calls NOW is a tactical mistake, I agree. I have a lot of Qcom. The math is that I can sell 5000 140 contracts, and if Q never gets to 140 on expiry, the gain on those will not even cover the cost of an 8 dollar q drop.

There is no point now, really, imo.
