Stuart,

MIPS (shorted at 51). It had given a sell signal and had made a lower top. There was some risk in this trade in that it was trading above the BSL, which has since been broken. My read is that if a semiconductor stock still has RS in Os after the move in the SOX, the stock must be vulnerable in a correction to the sector's overbought status.

JNIC (shorted at 72). Again, an internet stock with RS in Os - sector not as overbought, but this one had less risk being under the BRL and in a negative trend.

IWIN (shorted at 20 1/2). Risk above BSL, but lower top and on a sell signal and BSL down at 16 while double top break at 22 makes a close enough stop.

ZIXI (shorted at 36). Double top break would be at 39, could turn into a bearish triangle. The stock gapped down on Friday, making the O column relatively certain, I shorted on the bounce back up.

I usually cover my shorts before the day's close, this lessens the risk for me of news or a morning rally. I need to get more comfortable with taking shorts as position trades. I am short HDC as a small position, another semi with RS in Os on a sell signal and negative trend.
